It is based on current data protection legislation (General Data Protection Regulation, “GDPR”) and clarifies how we work to safeguard your rights and privacy.

WHAT IS PERSONAL DATA?

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person

This also applies for example to, reservation numbers and encrypted data and various types of electronic identities, such as IP numbers, if they can be linked to natural persons.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

We only process personal data where there is a legal purpose for this. We do not process personal data unless this is necessary for the fulfillment of obligations in accordance with agreements and the law. Examples are given below of the personal data we process:

HOW DO WE GAIN ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL DATA?

When collecting and processing personal data, we have legitimate purposes for processing personal data such as agreements, legal relations, legitimate interests , special legislation, or consent. You may at any time ask us to stop processing your personal data. We will no longer process your personal data or obtain new, provided that it is not necessary to fulfill our obligations under contract or law. Keep in mind that withdrawal of consent may mean that we cannot fulfill the obligations we have in relation to you.

We also gain access to your personal data in the following ways:

HANDLING AND STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA

Founders Alliance have legitimate purposes to process your personal data. It may happen that the same personal data is processed for several legitimate purposes; on the basis of fulfillment of our obligations under an agreement; the data is necessary to fulfill other legal obligations or; specifically substantiated by consent. This means that even if you revoke your consent and the treatment based on the consent ceases, the personal data may still remain with us for other purposes. Mainly, we process your personal data to fulfill an agreement to which you are a party and legal obligations such as the accounting obligation specified in the Accounting Act.

HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION?

The information you provide from you is used for the following purposes:

  • Sales and marketing activities in the form of direct mail or telephone contact

  • To get statistics and information about user behavior to improve our website and user experience

  • To deliver you a more personal experience and deliver product offers and other content that you may be interested in

CUSTOMER CARE

MARKETING

We use the information we collect about our customers to develop and improve our services.

We mainly use anonymous or anonymous data at aggregated level to do this type of analysis. However, we may also use personal data we have collected if relevant.

PERIODS OF RETENTION

Founders Alliance retains your personal information as long as it is required for the process purpose.

We take ongoing measures to comply with the principles of “built-in data protection and data protection by default”. We continuously evaluate the risks of personal data processing and take the necessary security measures to reduce risks.

EXTRADITION OF PERSONAL DATA

Our main principle is to not disclose your personal data to any third parties unless you have consented to it or if it is not necessary to fulfill our obligations under contract or law. In cases where we disclose personal information to third parties, we sign a data processing agreement (“DPA”) / confidentiality agreements and ensure that personal data is processed in a safe and satisfactory manner.

DATA PROCESSOR

We use a number of different IT services and IT systems in our operations. In some of these, personal data is stored and handled. We safeguard your integrity and privacy to secure your personal data in all such processing. Some systems are installed locally with us and only our staff have access to the data. In these cases, no transfer will be made to third parties. However, some systems are cloud solutions or installed at the supplier rendering that we need to transfer personal data to the supplier. In these cases, the supplier is our data processor and process data in accordance with our DPA and specific instructions.

YOUR RIGHTS

Handling of personal data with legal basis

All personal data processing Founders Alliance performs have legal purpose such as agreements, legal relations, legitimate interest, special legislation, or consent. Certain processing of personal data is necessary in order for us to fulfill an agreement with you or to fulfill a legal obligation.

Revocation of consent

You can choose to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at the contact details above. If you revoke your consent, we will discontinue processing of your personal data and delete it from the system in question. However, it may occur that the same personal data is processed for the purpose of complying with legal obligations or under other rules, such as agreements or special legislation. This means that even if you revoke your consent and the process based on the consent ceases, the personal data may still remain with us for other legitimate purposes.

Right to get information about what personal information we have saved about you

If you want information about what data we have registered about you, you can apply for this in writing at the above address. The register extract is available on request and is free of charge once a year.

Right to control your personal data

You are entitled to request that the data about you be deleted, supplemented or rectified. You also have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted for certain purposes and, for example, not used for direct advertising.
